Imaging USA 2012: New Orleans, Louisiana

My mom and I went to New Orleans for the Imaging USA conference and expo. It was great to talk to some fantastic photographers, and also look at some products and equipment. I didn’t take as many photos as I probably could have. Busy running around to seminars and meeting up with people. New Orleans is almost overwhelming to shoot because of all the opportunities. Just about everywhere you look is something else to try and capture.

It was dark so I used my iPad as a softbox. 

I had the pleasure of meeting the great guys at Motibodo. Dave and Quin are really cool so check out their product if you have to process a lot of photos. My mom and I are implementing Motibodo into our workflow. 

Also Stan from Renaissance Albums. We already use their product but cool to meet the guys. 

Ate some awesome food. Walk On’s, Mother’s, Redfish Cafe, Bubba Gump’s, and, of course got some beignets and coffee from Cafe Du Monde.  

I got to hold and play around with the Nikon D4. Incredible camera. The video and ISO sensitivity were great. Nikon had some guest speakers, pretty cool to hear candid conversation about a big product before it was released. 

Went to the Lecia and Wacom booth and used products that I will dream of purchasing for a while.

So all in all I had a great time. Really makes me want to shoot more personal work and experiment. 

Ok rain.. If you are going to hang around all day I’m going to need a nap.

Going to photo conference in New Orleans next week. I need to get something to wear.

I’m pretty sure that I have a playlist of 5 Disney songs stuck in my head right now.
